Firmware Updates for
HAPPY MACHINES
Firmware Updates are
revisions to one or more of the onboard programs that help operate
your HAPPY embroidery machine. They may include several major
and minor updates or improvements, and it may be desirable for you to
download and install them.
Recent Updates
- December 23, 2009 Firmware Version 3.11 for non-color
control panel models
- March 5, 2010 Firmware Version 1.14 linked for color LCD models.
- May 12, 2010: Firmware version 1.24 for HCD-1501 updated and
corrected.
- June 1, 2010: Firmware Version 1.24 for HCD-1501, Spanish uploaded
- Mar 28, 2011: Firmware PDF instructions

1.06 to 3.02
Updater (for
standard control panel model):
Use this updater if you have a Generation 2 Voyager (with the black
plastic sewing arms) and wish to use the wide cap field available on newer
Voyagers. Also contains some miscellaneous improvements including
USB connection performance. NOTE: Generation 3 Voyagers with
the metal arms should already be at 3.02. The download is a 1.1 Mb
ZIP that includes PDF instructions and data file. This firmware
update requires a serial connection and cannot be done via USB cable. |

3.06 Updater (for
standard control panel model) with USB Updater: (Link disabled
temporarily) Use this update if you have a standard control panel (i.e.
non-color LCD monitor) to update Contains some miscellaneous improvements including USB connection performance
and ability to sew on wide cap frame. NOTE: Generation 3 Voyagers with
the metal arms should already be at 3.02. The download is a 1.1 Mb
ZIP that includes PDF instructions and data file. This firmware
update can be done via USB cable or serial cable. |

3.11 for Windows 64-bit Operating
Systems (Vista64, Windows 7 and XP64) Use this firmware
update if you have a standard control panel (i.e.
non-color LCD monitor) to update and need to connect your machine via
live USB connection to a 64-bit version of Windows (most copies of
Windows 7 are 64-bit, and many copies of Vista are. Some versions
of Windows XP are 64-bit, but the majority are 32-bit |

1.05 Updater (for Color
LCD version only) Use this updater if you have a Voyager with a color LCD
control panel and need to update to Version 1.05, which includes the
additional sub-menu under "OPTION" for machine or design settings, which
allows the "Stitch Sweeper" to be applied to designs transferred in via
USB. |

1.06 Updater (for Color LCD models (link removed, see 1.07 below): Adds the ability to include custom or 3rd-party hoops in the Frame
screen. Allows 5 slots in the "USER" section of Frame. Each
slot will enable you to set that hoop up as a round or rectangular hoop.
Notes about the way this feature works: For round hoops,
the red margin indicator in the Frame display will be accurate IF you
enter the dimensions accurately for the custom hoop you're setting up.
For rectangular/square hoops, you MUST test-trace designs
carefully until you're comfortable that you've set the size accurately.

connewction for 64-bit USB connection (works for 64-bit versions of

error report function, 1-screen maintenance mode startup, Remembered
Offset in Frame mode, ability to select hoop at startup. |
