|
| Brenda Carr
has been embroidering and digitizing designs for 10 years.
In Stitches produces both small and commercial
embroidery jobs, such as Combative sweatshirts for a special
group in Germany, and sweatshirts and long sleeve t-shirts
for the USA Soaring team. After noticing the HAPPY HCD
embroidery machine sewing hats at a model airplane contest,
she and her husband decided to purchase one. When asked why
Brenda made HAPPY her choice, her reply was: "The machine is
all metal, very durable." Other comments that Brenda made
about HAPPY embroidery machines were: "Dealing with HAPPY
has been a wonderful experience. I've had very few
problems, and each time I have encountered a problem, it was
taken care of in a very timely manner. I was also able to
learn Stitch & Sew, the embroidery software very quickly.
It was very easy to learn. After lots of research, my
sister, who lives in Pennsylvania, decided to purchase a
HAPPY machine as well. We are very happy." |

Dynamic Designs Owner: Cathy Manning |
| Cathy
owns a HAPPY Voyager, and has a very interesting story to tell.
What could have been a tragedy turned into an amazing story when
her machine was dropped to the floor, and recovered with no major
damage at all. Here is her story: |
|
"A few months after I had purchased my HAPPY Voyager, we
went to a craft show and took the machine for personalizing
items. My husband was pushing the machine into the hall and
didn't realize someone had stretched electrical cords across the
path. The wheels on the cart hit the cord, and the machine went
flying to the floor, throwing thread cones all over. The plastic
case opened up, the thread holder broke, and I was beside myself.
We picked it up and moved down to our space. I cleared the
errors, used duct tape to hold the thread guide up, clicked the
case closed, and pressed start. It sewed! And it sewed well.
Nice job, HAPPY!" |

Garden of Daisies Owner: JoAnn Connolly |
 |
JoAnn
Connolly, a lifelong sewer, has taken embroidery business
Garden of Daisies
to another level with her ongoing
efforts in creating Irish step dancing costumes. The dresses are
wonderfully intricate and beautifully designed, and grew
originally out of a challenge to provide costumes for her
daughter's dance school. JoAnn and her partner Sally Ellingsen
have been at it for 7 years now, and her recent efforts won her
the People's Choice Award at the 2006 NNEP show in Nashville,
Tennessee - part of the Stitches 2006 Stitch-off competition.
Those who attended the NNEP show in 2006 were able to see the
award-winning costume (pictured below) on display at the Stitches
booth. Her business has produced over 300 equally-intricate
dresses in what she has come to call "extreme sewing". JoAnn
makes extensive use of appliqué in her dress designs - something
handled easily and exactly with her two HAPPY HCA-1501 single-head
machines.
The staff at TEXMAC are proud of JoAnn and her partner's
achievement and the testament to the capabilities of HAPPY
embroidery machines that they have become! |
