Inks from INKMAX |
|
for Direct to Garment Printers |
|
TEXMAC Direct to Garment printers get some of their
competitive advantage from their use of direct to garment
printer inks from Inkmax of Japan. Inkmax inks
produce brilliantly-colored, sharp prints with a soft hand
and amazing color-fastness. They are particularly
friendly for production printing, requiring shorter curing
time and lower temperatures. Read more about Inkmax inks
and their "colorful" technology and storied heritage. |

INKMAX Product
Improvements |
|
|
| Improvements across the
Inkmax product line boost performance for SOLO owners and anyone else
using Inkmax products with their direct to garment printers. Here's a
run-down of the product line and what's improved: |
|
● |
White Ink
- curability has been improved - original print
brilliance and sharpness is better-preserved through the curing
cycle. A secondary benefit is improved wash-fastness.
Officially listed as MMI-4/white. |
|
● |
Color
(C,M,Y,K)
- improved color brilliance and color accuracy (when used with
correct color profiles). Sharper contrast and brilliance
compared to 1st-generation Inkmax inks. As a secondary benefit,
color intensities can be reduced to give similar output
(compared to 1st gen inks), reducing overall ink consumption.
Officially listed as MMI-3 inks. |
|
● |
Pre-Treatment for Dark Shirts (for use with white
underbase) - This remains unchanged. However, Texmac now
provides the more-concentrated version, MMP-2, which allows
operators the option to dilute with distilled water or use at
full strength. |
|
● |
Pre-Treatment
for Light Colored shirts (for printing color inks
without white underbase) - A new formulation of this substance
improves performance for its original purpose (improving
performance of color inks when applied directly to [light]
colored garments) by eliminating occasional color cast.
Also added is a significant new
capability: ability to print color inks directly on 100%
polyester fabric, dramatically expanding the
capabilities of the direct to garment printer.

About INKMAX Inks |
| INKMAX inks are derived from UNI(c)
Color Inks (a direct cousin of the UNI-Ball ink and pen line). UNI inks
have been used for generations in direct-to-textile printing
applications. INKMAX inks inherit the technologies of UNI-Color
pigments, and the impressive results can be seen in the prints from
TEXMAC garment printers, actual photos shown below. INKMAX inks can be
printed on cotton and cotton-blended fabrics. INKMAX's new "S7"
pre-treat for light garments will also allow printing on 100% polyester
fabrics (like today's hot-selling, moisture-wicking performance-wear
products) ! |

CARTRIDGE INKS
INKMAX inks are also offered in re-fillable cartridge format,
designed to work specifically with TEXMAC's SOLO printer. Shown here
are the 100ml cartridges that come standard (along with refills) with
TEXMAC garment printers. The "smart" cartridges offer clean, fuss-free
loading and replacement and notify your printer in ink-low/ink-out
situations.
Refills come in the form of mess-free replacement factory
pre-filled bags. Bags are 99% de-gassed to minimize air entry into the
printer ink feed system and to help minimize waste. |
